Shark Net

In Old Bay Head, they didn't cry "Shark!" and run for the dunes. They simply excluded the sharks by surrounding the swimming area with chicken wire. This shark net is in front of the Bluff's Hotel. See the painting "Temperature 62" for more on the Bluffs. This painting includes some of the artist's playful antics: a couple kissing under the boardwalk, a mermaid, the Murphy Kid hanging from the porch, and redheads (his wife Katie was a redhead), in fact, everyone in the painting is a redhead!
