Chasing the Geese

The artist lived across the street from Twilight Lake in Bay Head for over thirty years, and his only complaint living there was the occasional Canada goose that would wander into his yard. As the geese discovered the small lake and the bird sanctuary on Kellogg Island, once the railroad trestle, more and more would wander into the yard. He put up a low fence, could often be seen chasing them out of the yard with a whistle or flag, but they continued to venture in, until the town started hiring out dogs to chase them off. You don't see many on the lake anymore.
