Watercolor with Pauline Mickle Beg-Inter. watercolor classes: Thursday
mornings, 9:30 am to 12 noon. A favorite easy going class for all stages of painters. Each class is a new painting with a new subject and techniques. Recommended to attend all six classes. Contact gallery for supply list. Pauline Mickle grew up in Northumberland, England, where she developed her love of painting by sketching the beautiful countryside. She has lived in the US since 1947 and has been painting ever since. She is a two-time past president of the Manasquan River Group of Artists, and is a member of the Ocean County Artists Guild, where she teaches watercolor classes. She has studied with Earl Tyler, Pat Lafferty and Lucile Geiser and has an associates degree in Art from Ocean County College. Her paintings are on display at the Anchor & Palette Gallery.
Drawing with Kathryn Paul Experienced Beginners to Intermediate still
life drawing class. Fee: $130 for 5 weeks, five sessions. The class will be working in pencil and charcoal to better understand values, perspective, and composition by drawing from nature and common items. A necessity for those wanting to improve their paintings by improving their drawing skills. Contact gallery for supply list. Oil Painting for Intermediates with Kathryn Paul Fee: $130 for 5 weeks, five sessions. Continuation of intermediate painting with still life setups. Water soluble oils or Acrylics preferred. Easel is required. Kathryn Paul is a member of the Guild of Creative Art in Shrewsbury and the Manasquan River Group of Artists. She has been teaching drawing and painting classes for the last 8 years. Her studies with various well known artists have taught her the basic foundations of drawing and oil painting, from traditional realism to self-expression and the freedom of color. She is a member of "Oil Painters of America."
