"Bonjour" Acrylic, 30x40 inches, $1200 unframed |
Tine Kirkland Graham is a Morristown, NJ artist
who initiated her career in the early 1980's as a creator of
pastel portraits in the impressionistic style. Several years ago,
she expanded the scope of her subject matter to include seascapes
and beach scenes, using the medium of acrylics. Tine has chosen
to portray the water views and island locales of those places
most familiar and dear to her heart: Bermuda, Martha's Vineyard,
Nantucket and Bay Head, New Jersey. Painted in brilliant, potent
colors, reminiscent of the Fauve Movement, her fun and lively
paintings evoke the happy carefree memories of childhood. The
painted images are intended to dance and sway with rhythmic color
and emotion in celebration of life as a joyous occasion.
Recently Tine has taken an interest in painting
pet portraits and house portaits... with an unusual flair, of
course. She has always done beautiful pastel portraits of
children by commission. Tine has
recently self-published several books of her artwork with accompanying
thoughts and poems. Signed copies are available at the gallery. For more information, contact the Anchor
& Palette Gallery.
