1937 Bathing Beauty by Dick LaBonte Santo Pezzutti

Santo Pezzutti was born in the foothills of the Alps and came to America as a young boy. He received an Art Scholarship out of high school and studied at the Art Students League in New York. Santo went on performing dual roles. One as a painter in oils and watercolor and one as Executive Art Director of the advertising agency Dancer, Fitzgerald and Sample, on Madison Avenue. Now retired, he has exhibited extensively, having won the New Jersey Water Color Society's most prestigious award as well as many other awards (Montclair Museum, Monmouth Museum, Nabisco Galleries, Summit Art Gallery International Show, AT&T and Prudential Galleries). Santo has had two one man shows in New York - The Phoenix Gallery and Carimore Gallery. His work was recently included in the National Academy Show in New York. "The bold contrasts of Santo Pezzutti's unique color combinations express intense emotion, even drama, as colors pass across his subjects' faces and through the landscape. Santo Pezzutti is above all a colorist, a skilled veteran practitioner who has painted may years in his New Jersey studio. Pezzutti's brush creates surface movement while his colors play one against the other, keeping one alive to the drama within each person." Santo's orginal oil paintings and giclée prints are available at the Anchor & Palette Gallery.
