1937 Bathing Beauty by Dick LaBonte Robert Drapala

As both a professional photographer and a licensed pilot, Robert Drapala has spent the last twenty-five years amassing an unparalleled collection of aerial and ground photographs, and his portfolio has grown into one of the finest examples of lighthouse and seascape photography available today. Robert Drapala began his photography career in the United States Army. It has flourished into a full service company publishing books, providing his photos for shows, selling his matted photography in various outlets, and contributing his work for Barnes and Noble publications, greeting cards, magnets, nightlights and much more. Robert's first book is Gilded Glory in 1995. Hired by Georgian Court College in Lakewood, NJ, Robert gained full access to the grounds and buildings and created a book that beautifully portrays this luxurious estate. This book can be purchased solely through the college.

With the publication bug firmly planted, Robert began his own publishing company, Aerial Perspective, and self-published Portrait of the Outer Banks, authored by Torrey Kim, which became the first of a series. Portrait of the Past - The Civil War in New Bern, North Carolina, authored by Drew Pullen, is a fascinating history of how one of America's most treasured islands played a significant part in the Civil War. Portrait of the Past - The Civil War on Roanoke Island tells how the Civil War came to Roanoke Island in 1862, causing great upheaval and dissonance to the simple lives of the islanders. As with all Aerial Perspective's books, the photographs by Robert Drapala can almost tell the story on their own, but the rich historical detail in the text is absolutely fascinating. Drapala's books, which include children's books he has co-authored, can be purchased through Amazon.com and his photographs are available at the Anchor & Palette Gallery. Drapala lives with his wife Christy in Mount Holly, NJ.
