1937 Bathing Beauty by Dick LaBonte Marie Salvato

Although artist Marie Salvato paints primarily in the oil medium, she also works in pencil and watercolor. A graduate of Pratt Institute in New York, one of her oil paintings has been featured recently in Artist Magazine. Salvato has had solo shows in the Ocean County Library, both in the Point Pleasant branch in 1996 and in the Lavallette branch in 2003. She has also participated in various competitive exhibits, including the Ocean County Artists Guild Show, Senior Citizens Art Exhibit, Statewide juried show at the Guild of Creative Arts and Statewide juried show at the Ocean County Artists Guild and won several awards.

Salvato studied in workshops with several artists, including Mel Stabin, D. Ulanett and Anthony Ventura. She is a member of the New York American Artists Professional League where she has a painting accepted in the Grand National Exhibition in the Salmagundi Club, New York.
