St. Paul's UMC is pleased to present the Manasquan River
Group of Artists and their original paintings, drawings and prints at
the Art Show, Sale and Boutique to be held on Saturday, August 8th in
front of the church. The Manasquan River Group of Artists is the oldest
art group in Monmouth County, and the membership includes artists from
Ocean and Monmouth counties as well as other areas of New Jersey. The
group meets the first Friday of the month at the Curtis House in
Brielle. Besides participating at the St. Paul's Antiques Show, the
group holds classes at the Sea Girt Lighthouse in the fall, and
participate in various other outdoor shows and exhibits.
Inside, there will be boutique tables with lovely arts and crafts and made by the Boutique Committee of St. Paul's Church. Hand-made doll clothes and furniture, afghans, baby clothes, Christmas shell ornaments, stuffed animals, aprons, quilts and specialty items are for sale. The Boutique Committee works all year on various projects, including making lap blankets for the soldiers at Bethesda Naval Hospital and Walter Reade Hospital in Washington, DC. The proceeds from the Boutique sales help finance materials and other mission work of St. Paul's. Inside you will have the opportunity to bid on special items at our Silent Auction. And be sure and bring your children! We have a great activity booth for the kids - with games, prizes, and face painting.
There will be musical entertainment at the Art Show. Local restaurants within walking distance to the church will be open for lunch. So stop by on your way to the beach (three blocks away!) or to the local shops in Bay Head and support a worthwhile cause! The show will be held from 10am to 4pm. There is no Rain Date for this event. Proceeds from all activities go to the missions and general funds of St. Paul's United Methodist Church. Click here for information about our missions. St. Paul's United Methodist Church is located in the Jersey Shore town of Bay Head, just three blocks from the beach. Come for the day, or stay at one of Bay Head's famous B&B's for several days and enjoy the Antiques Show, the beach and shopping at the wonderful shops and galleries in town. For a complete list of activities in Bay Head, see their calendar of events.
